2016 is the twelfth annual Tribute PRCA Rodeo and Concert 
  Triple V Rodeo Company brings the excitement of the Old West style PRCA rodeo with their more than 50 years combined experience.  Originally noted for their champion bulls, the Larsen's have also been raising champion bucking horses since 2002.
The proceeds from this great event was a benefit to the Wyoming Fallen Heroes Scholarship program. The program has established scholarship endowments in memory of Wyoming military who have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.   The scholarships are at all eight Wyoming colleges and the University of Wyoming.

Congratulations Dona! 
Dona was awarded: Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) “Stock Contractor of the Year” 2015

This prestigious award is presented to a Stock Contractor that has gone “above and beyond” to help Barrel Racing and Barrel Racers at PRCA Rodeos. It is a very coveted award among 78 eligible PRCA Stock Contractors. 

A quote from Dona Vold Larsen: “I am very honored to have received this distinguished award from the WPRA. Barrel Racing is an integral part of any PRCA Rodeo and we love the excitement the event brings to our rodeo. The ladies of the WPRA have always shown a lot of ability and horsemanship; and truly give young horsewomen someone to look up to and admire. We are very cognizant of safety in the arena and spend a lot of time preparing the ground for this event. I shall covet this award and want to thank the ladies of the WPRA for their presentation."

A footnote on the “Above and Beyond”! During the “Slack Time” at last year’s rodeo, there were 113 barrel racers. During the running of the barrels, the 39th contestant’s horse slipped and fell. It was determined the ground was “too risky” for the safety of the riders and their horses. The complete “ground” on the arena had to be ripped up, part of it removed and new “ground” put in place. To be fair to all contestants, the barrel racing slack was completely restarted with the first 39 riders competing again and continuing on with all 115 barrel racers.

You are our outstanding committee volunteer this year!

Tera has done timing for the rodeo, designed the cover of the event program and the day sheet for the past eleven years of the Rodeo/Concert.

The John Justin Standard of the West PRCA "Committeeman of the Year" 

Each year the Justin Boot Company selects 100 PRCA rodeo committees to participate in the John Justin Standard of the West Program. The committee chairman is asked to select an outstanding committee volunteer to be honored. Every person chosen for his or her exemplary service receives a custom embroidered pair of Justin Boots. Throughout the year, letters from each rodeo chairman and recipient are printed in "The Justin Committeeman" in order to share useful information among all PRCA rodeo committees. Toward year's end, one ballot is sent to every PRCA rodeo committee. They then cast a vote for the PRCA committee volunteer who they felt best exemplified the spirit of all PRCA rodeo volunteers. The winner of the balloting is then named the "John Justin Standard of the West Committeeman of the Year." Justin sends the winner to the National Finals Rodeo, where he or she gets to watch the rodeo from the PRCA box on Justin night, and, after a ride in the famous Binion's Horseshoe Stagecoach, receives a special Justin jacket in the Thomas and Mack Arena in recognition of superior dedication to his or her representative committee and to the sport of professional rodeo.

Highlights of the Rodeo

The Bareback riding champion is singled out to win silver mounted bareback spurs, donated by the LeDoux family.  The Champion’s name goes on Chris’ bareback bronze, a traveling trophy that tours with the private art collection that is now housed in the Pro Rodeo Hal of Fame in Colorado Springs, CO.
